We are Gold Standard

We are delighted to share our latest accreditation with a Gold certificate from Constructionline.

As a business, we are always looking for ways to improve and accreditations from industry standards help us benchmark our progress. These enables us to demonstrate to both our customers and the local communities that we work to standards above the legal minimum and that we are constantly trying to improve the way we work.

In order to achieve accreditation, we were required to meet the strict criteria set out in the accreditiation companies standards – a process that is verified by a rigorous formal company audit undertaken by independent auditors.

Accreditation List
This latest update joins our other compliance certificates:
• CHAS
• Considerate Consttructor
• FOR
• Federation of Master Builders
• BM TRADA
• Acclaim amongst many others

Validation
Constructionline required a number of validation checks, using an enhanced prequalification questionnaire that goes beyond PAS 91. We were assessed for environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence and anti-bribery and corruption policies.

“By going that extra mile to achieve Constructionline gold membership, Gateville Group is continuing to raise professional standards. We have achieved this by demonstrating clear systems, policies and procedures put in place,” James Darker, Operations Director

Meet The Buyer Events
Gateville looks forward to the networking events hosted by Constructionline, developing partnerships and working relationship through the ‘Meet the Buyer’ events. These regional events have been attended by nearly 3000 suppliers over the last year. They provide the perfect opportunity to discuss upcoming construction projects face to face with the buyers responsible for delivering them.

We are ready to deliver Construction and Refurbishment works to the Gold Standard!

Looking after the Community

Gateville Group take their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) seriously, and
when we looked around for a project to support, we wanted it to align with our core values and for us to make a real difference.

Our CSR policy considers customers, employees and stakeholders; we believe it is important to have a socially conscious image and to demonstrate our good corporate citizenship on social, economic and environmental factors. Which is why to chose to work with A2Dominion.

A2Dominion are a Housing Association who provide a range of homes for rent and sale at affordable prices. They have a social purpose, in that 100% of their profits back go into building new homes and services. They invest in their community, believing that when people live in one of their homes, they are a valued member of the community. Last year, A2Dominion reinvested £1.6 million into creating opportunities for their communities.

One particular managed project is a scheme of 28 young people, aged between 18 and 25, who receive life skills and support to prepare them to deal with life after they leave the scheme.

The Foyer Internet Café is an initiative from the Community Investment team at A2Dominion to help these young people. After consulting with their staff at the scheme, it was agreed to create an internet café where the residents can learn IT skills, submit CV to perspective employees and apply for jobs, or just enjoy the internet and the social networking.

This is where Gateville stepped in, by providing valuable service, products and equipment for the Café, including flooring, electrical and installation of the Kitchen. We are proud to be associated with this community initiative which helps young people make the most of their potential, offering access to education, skills and training and thereby giving real support and guidance for their future.

We look forward to further developments of this scheme and extending our Corporate Social Responsibility into the Community.

Bogdan Catargiu, Gateville’s Managing Director said “Much like our recent football sponsorship, we strive to build relationships with our local communities. Watch out for further civic developments and initiatives throughout the year.”

An Excellent Result! – Considerate Constructors

Gateville received the latest accreditation news from the Considerate Constructors Scheme and it was excellent.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a not-for-profit, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image.

Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.

Gateville are delighted to announce that we out-performed the Scheme’s Company Code of Considerate Practice by achieving a score of 8 points or above in each of the monitored five sections.
“When visited by the considerate Constructor Scheme’s Monitor, this company achieved a level of excellence by scoring at least 8 points in each of the following five sections of the scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice” quoted from our certificate (see image)

Each section as 10 area that need to be addressed, resulting in 50 areas being successfully and comprehensively answered and around another 20 question to be completed.

The five sections are:
– Care about Appearance; ensuring their sites appear professional and well managed
– Respect the Community; giving utmost consideration to their impact on neighbours and the public
– Protect the Environment; protect and enhance the environment
– Secure everyone’s Safety; attaining the highest levels of safety performance
– Value their Workforks; provide a supportive and caring working environment

Certificate of Excellence is the highest of certification available at Considerate Constructors Scheme and we performed to an excellent standard well beyond the minimum requirements of the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice.

“Well done to all of our staff on site and in our head office for always upholding and exceeding expectations!” – Management

Gateville Carry Out Commercial Fit Out Project

Our skilled team have been hard at work on this commercial Fit Out project for the past few weeks; our role was to make the interior spaces suitable for occupation. We were given the keys to the empty void of this commercial space, which was the unused ground floor of high rise residential block.

In just four weeks, we have created five new office spaces, two kitchens, six toilet cubicles and a storeroom. Gateville Group were responsible for the design and build of this project including the full range of Mechanical & Electrical services. The finishing will be agreed with the final occupants once consultation has taken place.

Challenges
The East London location, with its double yellow lines provided challenges for logistics, requiring deliveries to be made first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon, and a clear method statement and plan of action to reduce the impact on the wider community and local traffic.

Success
Well done to our experienced team for completing this in under 4 weeks, ahead of schedule and on budget; thereby making the most of this previously unused area to become a valuable commercial space.

This project is was delivered with our “Cost, Time, Control” methodology for one of our long-term Principal Contractor customers; we work hard to build lasting relationships with our clients.
