Gateville received the latest accreditation news from the Considerate Constructors Scheme and it was excellent.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a not-for-profit, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image.
Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.
Gateville are delighted to announce that we out-performed the Scheme’s Company Code of Considerate Practice by achieving a score of 8 points or above in each of the monitored five sections.
“When visited by the considerate Constructor Scheme’s Monitor, this company achieved a level of excellence by scoring at least 8 points in each of the following five sections of the scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice” quoted from our certificate (see image)
Each section as 10 area that need to be addressed, resulting in 50 areas being successfully and comprehensively answered and around another 20 question to be completed.
The five sections are:
– Care about Appearance; ensuring their sites appear professional and well managed
– Respect the Community; giving utmost consideration to their impact on neighbours and the public
– Protect the Environment; protect and enhance the environment
– Secure everyone’s Safety; attaining the highest levels of safety performance
– Value their Workforks; provide a supportive and caring working environment
Certificate of Excellence is the highest of certification available at Considerate Constructors Scheme and we performed to an excellent standard well beyond the minimum requirements of the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice.
